Dear reader, I must apologize! I have been absent for far too long!
I don't really have any excuses except for the genuine and rather positive fact that I have been busy! I have been engaged in tending to the needs of my marvelous bevy of clients, plus the couple of groups with whom I have been working, and I have written and published my book! I have also been trying (with limited success!) to regain my fitness after my operation 2 years ago.
My clientele constantly reward my dedication to their efforts with superb results. Recently, I have had one lady who has lost 3 stone in weight and regained a considerable amount of mobility and daily confidence, another who has returned to running half-marathons after childbirth, another who has managed to postpone her joint-replacement surgery thanks to working on her muscle function and strength. A number of clients have stepped up to competing in the local cross-country league this last winter. The last 12 months have seen clients complete marathons, long distance hikes, Ironman triathlons and much much more. It is fabulous to be cheering them all on from the sidelines to their own individual wins.
I continue to have the pleasure of working with a few groups in addition to my one-to-one work. I have spent the last 4 months coaching a group of school children in boxing and circuit training, and am coming to the end of a 6 month healthy eating course which I have been running in conjunction with a local charity, This course will also lead to the production of a cookery book, a project about which I am very excited.
For several months last year, the writing of Misfit dominated my time. Whilst I have always wanted to write a book, I have to say that this was NOT the book that I wanted to write! It sounds bizarre, but this was a book that I had to write in order to clear my own head, not one I planned to write. Nonetheless, I am delighted with the final result and look forward to sitting down at some point in the near future to start writing the book I really want to produce.
We are about to go into the February break which, for me, always heralds a turn in the season, from the depths of winter to a more spring-like feel. After the darkness of January, I start to get excited about the return of the light, the arrival of the flower buds, and of what the coming months may hold. I am also starting to look at the small gaps in my schedule which will appear as we head into March, with the conclusion of some of my group contracts. As it currently stands, it looks like I will potentially have scope for one or two additional regular weekly clients, and possibly an extra group course. If you think that either of these may be of interest, please do not hesitate to get in touch. If you think that they may be of interest to someone that you know, please forward my details on to them.
I am contactable via email : sortmybody@aol.com or by telephone on 077 292 88318.
